Week 8

Class Preparation

There is no new material this week. Use this time to prepare for the code chats and continue to work on your projects.

Don’t forget to have your starter files for the code chat set up before class on Tuesday.

There is no quiz question suggestion submission this week.

Class Agenda

  • Code Chats
    • After our meeting, please complete the Code Chat assignment in Gradescope by Thu @ 11:59pm
    • A reminder that after your meeting, you may not discuss the task or its details with your peers.
  • Work on Project 1
    • Feedback from your draft is available in Gradescope
    • If you’re done, work on one or more of your "PLUS" goals; feel free to make a copy of your working project for this purpose (e.g. project-1-plus).
    • Submit Project 1 final in Gradescope, due Thu @ 11:59pm
    • Checklist:
      • The MVP is complete, meeting or exceeding all requirements.
      • The experiment runs flawlessly.
      • All required elements are present (consent, instructions, trials, debrief) and logically sequenced.
      • Instructions for participants are clear.
      • Results are complete and successfully saved to OSF.
      • The code is easy to understand and polished following all best practices outlined in course material. Comments are provided to organize the code and provide extra context where needed.
      • Any feedback provided in the proposal or first draft has been thoughtfully addressed.
      • In the case of an “A”, at least one PLUS extension (or additional complexity suggested on the Project 1 Draft) was implemented or attempted
